I have the space but really do not want a permanent lift in my garage, I would have to put it in the 3 car garage and space between cars is tight now.  I keep my 2014 Mustang, 2015 Explorer and 2017 Edge in there and have to keep bumpers between the cars to ward off dings so a post is not what I really would like to do.  The 2 car garage where I do the work has a lower ceiling so that would not work well and the same problem arises when I stick two cars in that one as well.   I don't do a lot of work under the cars either, and not sure if I would trust a 2 post that is under $1,000.

I wouldn't trust a 1000.00 lift either,  I put in an Atlas 11000 two post in the shop I work out of and I think it was about 2200.00 bucks delivered to a freight depot.  Install was not as hard as you might think.  I was thinking of a different portable jack system.  That price is pretty good

Took mine out of the boxes last night. Everything looks good. Will be working on assembling the hydraulic lines this week and give it a test run.

I bought two sets of these to go under the wheels. I use them whenever the wheels are still on the car and don't have to worry about jack stands. I do still use stands when I have to. They are a little pricey but cheaper than an emergency room visit.

do you feel comfortable sliding under there and do you use jack stands also?
I do and have, if for some reason it was to collapse the wheels are still attached so it will not fall to the ground.  With that said when I start to do work and will be under it for a while I will indeed put jack stands in place.  Might very well put jack stands on all four spots and take the quick jack out to allow more side movement.  it is a work in progress to see how to use it best.  But right now I am not in the "car mood" so I  have been putting it up now and then, doing a little work, evaluation and then lowering it so in the case it is great, easy up, easy down.
