Rex: Good to know that you will be in our area over the weekend. We are watching a hurricane develop in the Caribbean and anticipate it will be here over the weekend. But nothing is definite at this point. Just watch and wait. That's the way it is here every August/ September. Wish it could be different for travelers/vacationers.

There is a cruise-in on Friday night here in St. Pete at Biff-Burger; it is Florida's oldest cruise-in. Hard to miss: corner of 38th avenue north and 49th st n. A real 1957 Chevy sits atop of the building--so it is hard to miss. Not very many Mustangs, though. Tends to be dominated by guys who are lost in the 50's. If it rains, few will show. But if clear skies, then plenty of loud 50's music from a live DJ, clouds of cigarette smoke, rivers of Budweiser, and guys/gals waiting for the 50's or Elvis to return. If you are under 60 yrs of age, you will definitely be part of the younger crowd.
