That might be good to know:sApplebees has always been very supportive of Veterans. Not only do veterans eat free at Applebees on Veterans day, (over 1 million free meals to vets and active duty last year), they also donate to many veteran causes.
Another company that is walking the talk when it comes to supporting Veterans is Walmarts. Their goal is to hire over 100,000 Vets this year and they've promised that if a Vet needs a job they'll find them one.
LOL, but it only applies to Vets who have gotten out of the service within the last 12 months. That might be good to know:sApplebees has always been very supportive of Veterans. Part A is really cool, but part B (holding the job) is federal law. It's called USERRA.Also, at Sears, if any employees are called up for active duty and they are paid less than their salary at Sears, Sears will make up the difference in pay for them and will hold a job for them when they return.
