Bad odd compression test Video

While diagnosing a tick and a miss I did a compression test. All were good but #5. It is inconsistent and im.not quite sure what to make of it.

I would be suspect of bad lifter, broken valve spring, sticking valve. Pull the valve cover and take a look there. Rocker could also have backed off will make a horrible noise.

Hard to tell for sure but it looks like the intake valve is not moving as much. Check the movement of the rocker arms on that side with a dial indicator and you will find out pretty quick if you have a worn lobe or lifter.

Is there a way to tell if its a lobe vs lifter before I pull the ibtake? I want to know if I should pull thr engine or just thr intake.

if the lifter is worn to any degree, the cam lobe will be damaged. You can change a cam with the engine in the car, but it is hard to get all of the metal shavings out of the engine.

Between the video and the funky compression I would guess a collapsed lifter. The compression improved with a few cranks with less leak down.

Here is the verdict. Hard to see in photo but its dished BAD with sharp edges. Dont see any visible metal. So looks like ill be shopping for cam and lifters and timing set.
