i have a cj balancer this one on amazon isnt a boss damper just a replacement to 351 but still didnt address my question thank you
You can use your CJ balancer. You don't need a Boss 351 balancer, necessarily. The standard 351C, 351C CJ, and 351C Boss all used 28-ounce imbalance.

ok thats what i was concerned with if you reed the 351c and boss bookt it says the boss flywheel isnt intercangeable so to or compared to what i was thinking because the boss damper is bigger it had to match but with the boss damper being bigger than cleveland wouldnt it weigh more

A spinning part can weigh more but if its balanced the same all its doing is adding inertia. I think any 351C balancer will work as long as its the 28 oz. imbalance variety.

If I remember correctly the difference between the Boss and non-Boss flywheels is the Boss used a larger clutch so the flywheel and beelhousing were larger. But I may be mis-remembering that.
