While cleaning my rear brake drums I noticed the measurement to the first inside lip is 2- 1/2 inches. I took 2 inch pads off of it. Am I measuring this right or did PO install wrong pads? And if he did, would the wheel cylinder be different for 2 inch pads vs 2-1/2?

Shop manual says 2.00 width, leading 8.43 inches long, trailing 10.82 inches long. That is for the rear. The fronts are 2.50 wide if you have drums with the same lengths, leading and trailing.

EDIT: It shouldn't impact the wheel cylinder at all - diameter of the drum is the same. The only issue if it was wrong would be surface area and stopping power but it appears that the shoes are probably right even if the drums are from the front of an I6 or 302?
