i have a classic car for sale on the internet .it will probably sell out of state.so my question is ? what is the best way to do the money transfer and title and anything that i may not know about .i have looked on the internet and can't seem to find a lot on the subject. anyone posted anything on this ? thank for any and all help.

I sold a car on eBay a few years ago to a guy in Chicago. He sent me a cashiers check. Once the funds were secure in my bank account, I fedex'd him the bill of sale and the title. He arranged for shipping. I dropped the car off to the shipper and the rest is history. Do not release the car or title until you have the money in your hand. I wouldn't release the car or title until I made sure the check was good and not a fraud.

We did a wire transfer to the seller's bank when we bought the Detroit Electric

i bought mine out of florida, i used a certified bank check at that time.

I've used this service once before and it works great for both buyer and seller. It's called www.escrow.com. Everyone involved in the deal is protected. I sold my last 73 Coupe to a lady in Oklahoma. It really is the safest way to make a deal... especially when making a deal with someone out of state. The best part is that the buyer sends the money to this site, you get a confirmation they have the money, then you release the car to the shipper, the buyer accepts the car, you get the money. Good luck!
