Hi folks,

I'm wondering what were the factory carbs for the 1971 M Code 351c? 4300 Autolite?
Boss 351? 780 cfm Holley vac sec?
1972 R and Q code?

Every article I read says something different!

Many articles have simply copied and pasted information from earlier articles, that were also incorrect.

The 70-71 M-code engines used a 4300A carburetor that was rated at 600cfm

I've seen both 715cfm and 750cfm used for the 4300D. Which is correct is debatable, and probably depends on which Ford document you're reading.

71 Boss 351 used a spreadbore pattern Autolite 4300D that was spec'd in their literature to be 750cfm.

The 71-74 Q-code 351CJ also used the Autolite 4300D, which later became a Motorcraft 4300D.
