Anyone know what the correct paint markings are on the driveshaft of a '73 H-Code? Here is what mine looks like. I'm Just curious for the most part.

Hmmm. I have the Purple, Red, Green, but add an orange and take out the two yellow. Your's is '71? Mine is '73 so I am going to assume they would be different. I was just curious how much of the original markings were still there.

Mine is a 72 H code with an FMX. Those would be the qualifying factors in the driveshaft selection. The 2 yellow stripes near the pinion end are pretty universal. I cannot recall the exact designation of the 2 yellows. I will see if I can find something. My original buildsheet indicates under DRIVELINE for Driveshaft in Row E boxes 15-22 the following. Position 1 boxes 15,16 LA-Lavender, Position 2 boxes 17,18 R-Red, Position 3 boxes 19,20 DG-Dark Green, Position 4 boxes 21,22 blank.

Cool. My build sheet was little more than a faint film on the floor boards. You could make out that it was the build sheet but nothing else. Like it became one with the floor. (insert bad Star Wars Joke here)
