Finally removed this ugly mass of foreign wiring.

Now I have two speaker wires and power source

wire with proper connector. The speaker connector

is long gone so I will PM Midlife.

The only recognizable Ford part was a speaker wire

in the lower right of the picture. Also, the yellow wire

sparked when cut.

The things PO's do to our cars!!

You can say that again  heres just one top notch quality wire work I found last week while redoing my harness
Looks like something a 12 year old would do
WOW

I guess no one heard of shorts!!

I just LOVE these "repairs"; it makes my weekends profitable.:D

I couldn't provide the specific match to the plug in question, but did offer an alternative using single bullet connectors.

Yes, excellent suggestion to use bullet connectors.

Here is the plug in question and bullets would work.

Yeesh! I hate sloppy wiring... but only slightly less than I hate butchered harnesses and 'Hillbillie-engineered' repairs.

Good luck with the repairs - the advice offered so far is sound... can't do much better than Q and Midlife when it comes to repairing these things. ::thumb::

That's a plug design I have not seen before, although it looks similar to a tail-light plug for a 72, but wrong color. We've determined that the proper plug for the door radio is a two prong male/female bullet plug.

This plug is another PO abomination.

Actually, the pictured plug came attached to a radio I bought.

Don't have the radio's part number with me. Will get back to

you on that.
