Cowl block off plates(replace the mesh?)

Anyone know of a kit to seal the cowl by replacing the mesh air intakes with block off plates??

I am installing Classic auto air and it doesn’t require outside air…if I can seal the mesh and a few other holes it will help ensure no water enters my cabin….

I had a 71 Cougar with a bad cowl many moons ago. Took some 18ga steel and made my own block off plates. You can use CAD (cardboard aided design) to come up with templates to transfer to your material.

You could lay down your mesh cowl grilles on some stainless steel sheet metal, draw the lines around it, cut it out and screw it under the cowl openings with some seam sealer.

Timachone’s idea seems workable to me, but with my luck, the water WILL find a way to the cowl area… guaranteed. Just Sayin’.
