Ok, I am working on replacing my entire cowl. The car came with factory air. The driver side cowl vent was originally sealed off and the passenger side was open but rusted to hell and back. I ordered a dynacorn n/ac cowl to replace it and it has two open vents. I have intentions of getting a Classic Auto Air a/c kit and I noticed that in instructions of that kit tell you to block off the passenger side fresh air inlet.

My questions is: Should i go ahead and block off both vents? Should I leave the driver side open for fresh air. What should I do?

I appreciate all the help!

I do not know about the aftermarket kits but an original Air car has no opening on the drivers side but does on the passenger side. Any air conditioner has to get air from somewhere and it would only seem to make sense to be on the passenger side where the box would be mounted. Maybe they only recycle the air from inside the car that would get stale. Give your supplier of the kit a call and have them tell you what is correct. If it was not very specific in the install instructions I would be afraid of them.

Non air cars had fresh air vents on both sides so open on cowl on both sides.
