A little side project for the engine. Got a buddy in the states 🇺🇸 that went to some salvage yards to find these original serpentine pulleys. Now I can convert the early v belt system to an early serpentine system with a few touches to it if my own, so cool. Will look a little like the last picture 😁🙏🏽

nice find and nice restoring work
 
Small steps in the right direction again! Got the driver door lines worked out with some welding rod and grinding, I think I got it pretty close to perfect, looks so good and what an update to the body! At the same time I remade a fail that was made from the assembling line. The rear quarter where it meets the quarter window, in that corner it wasn’t made correct, I know it’s a problem on many, my dads got the same issue. Well I made it look good, a small job but a big change! 😁

Have done some good progress last week. Installed the Ring Brothers hood pins by using the original brackets for the hood look, I just modified them so it worked perfect together, now I don’t have to use the original hood locking system anymore and then I have the opportunity to make a different grille for the car. In the same time I also connected the inside and outside of the hood by using a pipe and welded that in the hood both to make a nice finish but also to put more strength into the hood where the hood pins are resting on the hood so it won’t flex when the car is driving.

I also got started on a custom shock tower brace and a custom Monte Carlo bar, took me a couple of days to make it right and look right, but so far I think it ended up very cool! I’m not done with it yet, still needs to be welded and detailed. Will add a few more things to it before it is how I want it. I’m sure it will ad some strength beside the original system 😁

Completed the shock tower braces and Monte Carlo bar for now, will maybe add a couple of details later, but for now I’m pretty happy with the result 😁💪
