I'm all for folks making their pony the way they want...at the end of the day, that's the fun of having one and restoring it.
This however, is not something I can get behind.
It reminds me of an apprehension I have with a lot of the "custom" shows like Bitchin Rides, or Counting Cars. Probably just because I'm old...but I cannot stand when these guys take a classic car and immediately have that first reaction to lower the damn thing to the ground and place these huge gaudy wheels on the thing. It seems everyone these days who works in customs seems to follow that trend. It kinda started (when I noticed it) back when Foos had his show. I don't like it. Never have. Just recently I caught an episode on Motor Trend...but for the life of me cannot recall the name of the show...but they had a 69 Camaro that they were rebuilding for a customer. The car was almost immaculate to begin with...and then they cut it up, painted it metallic sparkle orange, lowered the thing with these 20-something ridiculous wheels, and fabricated a new front end that looked like something out of an old Flash Gordon spaceship. It was downright awful.
So while this one isn't necessarily lowered or that horrendous, I just always walk away wondering...why the literal F would you do that to a classic car.
lol....I could not sound any more "old".
GET OFF MY LAWN!
