Need some feedback.
I removed the standard door panels from my 1971 Mach 1 and tried to replace them with the deluxe door panels, which the car originally came with. I purchased the deluxe units off of ebay and assumed they were OEM. Unsure if they are re-pops.
Problem: Once the panels are hung correctly on the doors, the plastic cup--covering the door handle area--interferes with the free swing of the door handle when attempting to open. Problem occurs on both LH and RH handles.
I've hung many of these deluxe door panels over the last 25 years without experiencing this particular problem. Perhaps the panels are re-pops. Anyone else out there faced the same challenge? What steps did you take to make it work?
Thanks for the feedback.
