I did a search, but did not find my answer. So a quick question; Is there any difference in the engine to frame mounts on a 71 fastback between a 302 and a 351C. Both engines were offered. I believe the motor mounts are the same, but the 302 is narrower (I think) so the frame mount may be different. I know of a guy who is changing from a 302 to a 351C.

Can someone confirm? Don't need a long thread, just yea or nay.

A look through a couple of suppliers was vague to say the least for 71-73's. Lots of 65-70 as usual.

Thanks,

Geoff.

Geoff, the 71-72 Mustang (non vert) with 302 and 351 C used the same frame brackets (DOOZ-6028-B, DOOZ-6029-B) and the same insulator/motor mounts (DOOZ-6038-G).
Steve, Awesome, That was what I thought, but not sure. Thanks also for the Ford numbers.

Your help is very much appreciated.

Geoff.

Anytime Geoff. Glad to help when I can. Takes a lot of us "Spokes" to keep the wheel round and rolling on this forum. And since the 65-70 Club doesn't like us we have to depend on each other. [emoji41]

Too true! We are indeed a unique group.

Geoff.

We used the same motor mounts on my 72 vert when we replaced the 302 with the 351 Windsor.

I have not yet found out if they are the tall or the short ones. I ordered a pair that was supposed to fit but they are wrong. (Don't remember if they were too tall or too short as it's been a while. )
