Similar to Lizard Skin which is what I used. 1 gal of sound deadner and ceramic coating is about $85.00 each. 1-1/2 gal of Eastwood is $199.00 so basically the same price. The ceramic coating works really well. I can't feel the heat on the floor board where previously the heat was making my rubber insert for the carpeting soft. Also great behind the headliner if you live in a hot climate to keep the roof area cool.

All,

Anybody on the forum used either the Lizard skin solution to heat and sound insulation?

jbojo, Did you consider the Dyna-mat or some other insulation mat before Lizard skin?

Yes I did consider that. I wanted to do all the inside voids so I opted to spray insulation. Lizard Skin in my case. I sprayed the inside of the front doors, front fenders, roof, trunk and all of the cubby holes in the back seat areas. This also strengthened the roof, when you tap on the roof now it doesn't seem hollow and doesn't flex. I think its pretty good, cuts out a lot of the exhaust noise and heat, I can actually listen to the radio while driving.

jbojo,

Fantastic! That does seem to be a better solution due to the fact of being able to get into the knooks and crannies of the mustang. Thank You for the pictures too!

Lizard skin and what Jeff linked is the one to use IMO.

jbojo,

Did you use both the sound and heat insulation of the Lizard skin? I am leaning towards the lizard skin to finish off the 1973 Coupe.

Yeah I used both. It's on pretty thick and that ceramic coating works really well. I can hardly feel the heat on the floorboards now. This video convinced me to go the way I did.

Sorry man! The 60 mil thickness of the Eastwood brand changed my mind. I do appreciate your input though on the spheres. I will post pictures soon.
