Engine Color

I didn't know that there were at least 2 different engine colors for Ford. Always assumed it was just Ford blue.

There's an "Old Ford" blue and a Ford blue. One is lighter than the other. What was the color for the 71-73 engines?

It should be Ford dark corporate blue. Even then, there are many shades of it out there. NPD sell a spray can of what is supposed to be the correct color. Personally I like the Duplicolor 1606, I forget what the prefix letter is, Plasticote make it as well, but it's a bit lighter in color. Some like POR ford blue. If you're not going the concours route, it's your preference I guess.

I used the Duplicolor #1606 Ford Corporate Blue.
