Hi everyone.
I've lurked here on and off for quite awhile and finally decided to join, if only for an ulterior motive.
My car is a 67 Mustang Fastback. Bought in 1981 as a project car for my Dad and I, then parked it 1987. Life, marriage, work and kids happened and it just continued to sit. Structurally it was in real bad shape.
Now kids are gone and self sufficient, I'm retired and have some expendable income. Been working on the car on and off for the last couple years and really enjoying it. Actually there are some days I don't want to work on the car because its so easy to get lost in time and lose 8 hours of my day. Pound for pound I have probably replaced half the weight of the cars sheet metal including a complete 1 piece pre built convertible reinforced floor assembly, firewall to rear bumper bracket. Then add in the repo small parts, also had some stuff re-chromed but thats expensive!
I look at the car and sometimes think, Its not even my old car anymore, but once I'm driving it I'm sure that will pass.
Now my ulterior motive. My car has 71-73 Mach I seats. My covers and cushions were very usable but I replaced them anyway and have no use for the old ones anymore. I'm very happy with the Distinctive Industries replacements, but I know some people want the original stuff so I'll offer them in the ADS forum.
Thanks.
