As you all probably know I got this car with half the parts missing.

I asked PO if he had any extra parts for the car like the shock tower

braces and he said it never had any ugg.

I finally got a used pair at a reasonable price and I was gearing up for

a battle to install them as I figure the car has been driven without them

since the middle 80s. Wondering how much the car had sagged over the

years and if they would come close to fitting YIKES!

The passenger side brace fell right into place.

The driver side not so lucky I had to jack up the car by the torque box and

that got it pretty close to fitting but had to file out one of the shock end

bolt holes a bit to get it installed.

Overall I feel lucky that they installed that easily I was worried they would

be horribly off from fitting.

BENEFITS:

Car feels SOLID going over speed bumps!

Handling much improved!

Road shock on bumpy roads lessened (for some reason?)

Just Testifying for argument of keeping the braces on.

Regards

Paul

Yeah there's a reason Ford engineers put those on these cars. I made the mistake of leaving them loose after working on my car. Yikes I'll never do that again.
