20151107_183150.jpg20151107_183136.jpgNot sure I like the gloss black, plus i was in a rush and got dust in the paint. Thinking ill redo it with satin black.

Depends on what you are looking for in the end... If it is not a concour's restoration, you are good to go if you like it.

I am re-doing a '71 vert and will have the engine bay painted in a semi to flat black configuration. Trying top keep the original look on my car. Keep having fun!

I use SEM 28091 Flat black urethane paint.. To add some gloss, which I do, there is SEM 38008 that goes with it.. The paint is extremely durable and easy to mix. I always prime first with a high build urethane primer and if it's thinned to a lighter consistency, you don't have to sand it out.. Just spray the SEM black over it within the time limits specified and you get a beautiful semi gloss finish that will last a lifetime.. I have avoided the Eastwood paint due to the amount of complaints out there..

I agree gloss is a pain in the butt. I went with Satin and it's even tough to keep clean sometimes.
