Can someone PLEASE detail for me the pieces required to rebuild the shifter indicator on my 72 Mach? and how they fit together?
Mine was in bad shape when I got it. I didn't even realize there is a plastic indicator with a red line on it to indicate the gear choice.
So, using NPD part #'s, the SHIFT SELECTOR INDICATOR is a #7A110.
The SHIFT INDICATOR LIGHT FILTER, which is I guess what you see the blue tinted remnants of in the picture, is a #15811.
They also sell a piece called a SHIFT INDICATOR LIGHT SHIELD, part # 7E130.
I don't see any pieces left of this piece in my car.
Do I need all these pieces? I called NPD and the guy said yes.
I saw an YouTube video by CJ Pony parts about replacing the INDICATOR. They didn't use the FILTER or the SHIELD when they reassembled???
The INDICATOR runs along the top of the black plastic "arched" piece in the reassembly to indicate PRND21. Where do the FILTER and SHIELD go?
I have been unable to find an exploded view of this assembly on the internet...
HELP
