Dental floss or fishing line for the letters.

The quarter trim looks like two clips with nuts and a bunch of sealant coated screws

Once you get the nuts off the rocker trim retainers, the plastic clips are usually pull up and pop out at the top, or down and pop out the bottom.

I don't have a '66 manual for the full size cars, Forel offers them in PDF downloads for $17.00. They have nicer illustrations than the MPC.

By the way, beautiful car, you really don't see many of those any longer. Had a buddy with one in the early 1980's. Looks to be in great condition. Are you removing these items for some sort of bodywork? 390 in it perhaps?

Well...it was in great shape. Leaving a classic car parade last spring I was T-boned by a teenage girl on a cell phone. She had been in the same parade driving her father's lifted '92 Bronco. She didn't even hit the brakes. I am lucky she hit me in the firewall where she did. A foot farther back and my front and/or back seat passengers would have been hurt.

Photo of my car, and photo showing the minimal damage to the Bronco's bumper.

Hagerty totaled my Galaxie. They handed me a check and let me keep the car. After a long search I have found a replacement Galaxie 500 (390) that is not quite as nice and I am in the process of transferring the best parts from the old car to the new one. The old trim was perfect thus the questions.

I have already changed over the top and some interior parts. Trim is next.
