Steve, New shocks are the way to go. However, what I found when I replaced my shocks with KYB gas-a-just, the nuts did not compress the rubber bushing enough to hold them in place and they moved. The threads are too short I guess. My "fix" was to use a thick 3/8th" washer top and bottom under the caps, i.e. placed inside the caps. This applied more pressure to the rubbers and has not been an issue since. I say this as a caution that some shocks my cause this problem and this is just a heads up.Thank You.
