My Car
1973 Mustang Convertible
302 / 3 speed / ps, pb, ac
I just discovered and joined this week.

I have a 73 convertible that I purchased in 1994 from the original owner. He bought the car up north when he retired and drove it down here to Florida where it's been residing ever since. It has a 302, 3 spd, a/c, ps, pb, gauges and the protection package. I kept it as a weekend car until recently when my daughter needed a car for college so I gave her mine - it is now a daily driver.

I decided to join the group because in just a few minutes of reading I found discussions about the very topics that I've pondered myself like what the hell is holding the body side moldings ON and why ARE the dash lights so dim?

It's good to be a member and while I hope to glean some knowledge and insight, I am also an ASE certified mechanic running a family-owned repair shop here in Florida so I would be glad to offer what I can from my own experience and training.

Welcome from Oklahoma.

Yeah after getting a Marti report and invoice on your car - you might find that door edge guard is original equipment.

EDIT: Correction - body side protection strip moulding... I remember seeing that installed on many cars back in the 70's.

Many were dealer-installed.

I know I like it on your car.

Nice looking convertible!
