Hey guys, I was just wondering how can I remove some factory graphics from the side of my buddies Jeep wrangler?? we are gonna be painting it soon and need to get these ugly ass stickers off. I dont have a heat gun. Will lacquer thinner or something like that take them off??? Didnt want to get too crazy wire wheeling them or anything cause the paint is decent and just needs sanded a little. let me know what you guys think. Thanks Kevin

Heat gun..9.99 harbor freight..

+1 on the hair dryer. Works great just keep it moving.
Go to your local paint supply house the one that supplies your cities repair shops and ask for the sticker removal wheel. 8.99 you use it in your drill motor and its like a giant eraser turn it on and whalla no more stickers and if you use a heat gun you might blister the paint ask me how I know, good luck!

Naptha (zippo lighter fluid) works great for removing the left over adhesive. It does not hurt the paint but will remove all wax.
+1 I use lighter fluid all of the time on my knives to get tape residue off, works like a charm. Tried it on glass and paint as well with no damage to either.

Just tell her its going to a good cause and you wont grease it up too bad, just a little!

I've used both heat gun and the wheel. large decals that you can get a good grip on, the heat gun works great. The wheel has its place especially if its old pin stripe tape and it wants to break off every inch. Have fun. Dennis
