The Prothane 6503 motor mounts are an improved captive design similar to the 1973 motor mounts. Prothane’s literature states that these mounts will not fit a 351C. This is not true, as they do fit the “H” code 351C engine with stock cast iron exhaust manifolds. I am using them on my 71 Mach 1 with the stock shift linkage.
You will need to use the 71/72 Fastback frame brackets (not 73) and cut the lower tab off the frame bracket. See the attached pictures of the installed mounts.
