1973 Mustang Convertible
Hello to all American drivers out there.

I'll be taking my '73 Convertible for a cruise tomorrow, but it will be a different driving experience for me for sure!

Can you imagine getting in your Mustang, but instead of driving on the right side of the road as usual, this time you'll be driving on the LEFT side!!

It's hard to imagine that, but that's what i do every time i go for a drive here in Australia on Australian roads. We are used to driving right hand drive cars on the left hand side of the road, where you guys are the reverse to that. Believe me, you've got to keep your eye on the road, as it's a very different experience.

The tricky part comes when you change cars, from driving the Mustang and then jumping into your Aussie right hand drive car. Many a time have i gone to get into the Mustang to have a drive, and by habit, i find myself walking up to the passenger's door to get in.:p

Oh well, it's a complicated world we live in i guess.

Greg:)

I have visited the American Virgin Islands many times, and there the cars are left side drive just like the states, but you drive on the left side, like Australia. THAT takes some getting used to for sure. The hardest ting for me was right hand turns, going to the far lane, and resisting that urge to cut to the inside. AND coming out of parking lots. I just kept thinking "ass to the grass" keeping myself closest to the grass along the side of the road.

We lost more airman in England when I was stationed there because they were trying to Overtake a "lorry" or a sugar beet truck driving their US spec cars...and kept inching out to see past him and then get thwacked...

Be Safe

Going to the wrong door is kinda like when I switch from our floor shift Mustangs and jump into the mini-van or our SUV I reach for the floor shift instead of the column shift! :)

My wife's shifter is loose from me jumping into it and instinctly yanking it side to side to check for neutral and kicked the floor looking for a clutch. Then I'm like dang, just turn the key.
