Is there a way to tell if these are original?

There were no original slats from Ford. Only aftermarket slats were available. I think they look sharp. Some mount beneath the rubber weatherstrip. Others may need holes to be drilled.

+1. To the best of my knowledge, louvers were not available from the factory nor as a dealer option.
