Lowering Springs and trans gears

Im writing with the hopes that someone out there can assist me with their knowledge. I have a 71 that I intend on adding one or two things per year to. This year I want to possibly add lowering springs to the front of the suspension, I don't plan on lowering much just a bit to add a mean look to the stance of the car and different trans gears in the rear for more torque. The type that I have found is 4-10 gears out of my friends 2006 gt and ford racing lowering springs out of a 2012 gt.? would these fit my application? What is in the rearend is stock right now.

Pictured is my black 71, my friends chevy truck, chevy Camaro, and the local police car.. My car is my pride and joy and I love the 71-73 class!!

The 2006 gears and 2012 springs will not fit your car. It's not hard to tell what ratio is in your car, jack up the rear end and turn the driveshaft and count how many turns of the driveshaft vs. the tires. It's likely somewhere in the 2.75 to 3.00 range. As for lowering the front, cut 1/2 coil and see how it looks, if not enough try another 1/4 coil. I cut 1-1/4 coil off mine to get it down where i wanted it. Save some cash and get the look you want.
