I have some DOAE-N heads that need going through. They still have the original Ford valves that will need to be replaced. I can get a nice military discount on Ferrea valves but should I expect any issues with a machine shop if I bring in my own parts? I would still have the shop source the guides, seats, seals, springs, retainers, etc.

I doubt any reputable shop would make a big stink about the customer supplying their own valves, especially good quality valves such as Ferrea. What I see happen a lot, is people buying components at the best price they can find ( as opposed to the best quality they can find ), I get it, but most shops don't want to be responsible for any work done with parts they wouldn't use themselves.
