material under sill panels

In the channel under the sill plates there seems to be a light cardboard/tape stuff that covers the wiring channels. What is this called, and where do I get it?

Mine was just a heavy duty cardboard with what looks like some type of wax on top of it. I noticed in Mustangs Unlimited and national parts depot that they actually started reproducing those now.

Is this what you guys are talking about? Does anyone have a pic from an original car with the material covering the channel? I have never seen one and didn't know they came with something under the sill plates?

Excellent. I found a pair of those amongst my interior parts & I did not have a clue what they were for. Anyone got a picture showing how they are installed?

I bought the set off ebay, You can gently bend them, there is a bend line on them, with a pair of pliers. Mine look like they will do the job just fine. I'm just starting to put the carpet in my car now!!!

I made mine from sheet metal years back. They aren't going anywhere.
