Hi everyone. I’m just changing my fuel filter and noticed a spot where it looks like a bolt should go. Should there be a bolt here and if so, can you give me guidance on the size that I need?
My guess would be some sort of accessory attachment point. No need to put a bolt in it at this point I would think. Perhaps some more seasoned aficionados on here may know more.
Earlier intake manifold castings had this bolt hole also. In 1970, the Mustangs equipped with ram air used this bolt hole for the Shaker air cleaner support bracket.
By the way, what motor is in your car? I don't recall it being mentioned.
Is it the original motor? Hard to read oftentimes, but there will be a partial VIN stamped on the block just below the left side head.
