what mods for fastback or coupe?

L & R lower corners are cut out for the inner rockers used in convertibles

So you would have to patch those in

It seems (to me) like an odd part to remake ahead of the door skins or replacement doors.

I do think it shows that the 71/73 are the next great thing!

Yeah, it does sound like an odd part, I don't recall reading any posts here about needing to replace a firewall. Maybe they are going to do all the pieces to make a whole 71/73.
