With the recent talk of rotisseries around here I thought I'd bounce an idea off you guys. Dilemma: I want my car off the rotisserie because I want to support it from somewhere closer to the suspension points and start mocking up sheet metal and getting everything lined up. However, I've gotten quite spoiled with being able to flip the body up on its side, and will still need access to the bottom for some things and don't want to crawl around under it if I don't have to.

I'm trying to figure out some way to make something I could mount close to suspension points for proper weight distribution, and still be able to rotate it. I realize I won't be able to go all the way around like I do now, but after I seam seal the underside with it completely upside down so the sealer seeps into the seams nice, I won't really need to go all the way around, but it would be nice to be able tilt the body up from side to side even like 1/3 of the way around so my lazy a#+ doesn't need to crawl on the floor.

Any ideas????

You could make somthing like this..A local mustang restore guy i know uses alot...I wish i had a pick of the rest of it thou.....he has all sorts of machines like that...He even has a mustang jig..lol..that will bend and pull a mustang back into shape..lol..I should take some pics of it next time im out there.

Hahaha! That's what those 2 black buckets are for! As long as you keep your head below those you'll be good if it falls :D

Call the local dealership equipment company and buy a used lift for a grand.

They will install it for another 500.00

Live to see your grandchildren.

Damn!

Not really..Its solid as a rock..Wish i had more picks of how it works..Its very safe unit...You need to see the big arm hydrolic arm that holds and rasies it at his will..lol..and used for under coating...with a lift..You cant really undercoat very well...he has a few lifts too...But like he says..Its hard to under coat well with them very well...lol...I would work under it with out any worries...And im the kinda guy who is scared of cars falling on him..lol

"I'd much rather spend the $1500 on the car!"

Won't cover the tombstone - Besides nothing is better than having your own lift.

I got a asymetric 2 post Rotary - 9000lbs - nothing across the floor between the legs, for 1500.00 installed.

Best money ever spent!!!!!!
