Mufflers

[manyo]

I want to replace stock mufflers ( sticking with stock manifolds as well). Want a little more sound , but not loud. Any suggestions?

MagnaFlow Turbo mufflers have a nice basso-profundo tone without being obnoxiously loud or raspy when put on a stock manifold system.

My car (429) has Flowmaster 70 series "RV" mufflers on it. A little longer, deeper tone and quieter than what most expect from a built big block.

But I like the "Walk softly/ Big stick" mentality better anyhow. Besides, if the bright red paint, black stripes, ram air, spoilers and Magnums dont get the message out there, the exhaust tone isn't going to help!

Dynomax super turbo mufflers. The long case is about as quiet of a turbo muffler you'll find.

I have Thrush turbo mufflers on my car and they sound great, nice deep tone at idle, mellow at cruise and a nice muscle car sound at full throttle that is not overbearing and obnoxious. I thought the 30 dollar price per muffler was pretty sweet too, would definately buy them again.

I have Flowmaster 40 series, stainless steel I didn't have a clue what kind if sound they had, but possible to check on the net via Youtube about different sounds of different brand, can give an idea but sure can't reproduce the reality. sound

I'm happy about them, but I should be happy with some other ones, for sure. What I wanted first it was a real old V8 muscle sound, I got it
