NASA hood clearance

Does anybody know how much hood clearance can be gained by going to a ram air hood?

I have a standard hood with a boss 429 scoop and I would like to switch.

I don't know the exact amount of difference but you should be ok.You might need a drop base air cleaner,I could just see the top of my air cleaner through the scoops.Now that's with a drop base air cleaner and a torker intake.I know your performer rpm is taller,but I have seen people using the stealth manifold and it fit and it's a little taller than your performer,not much,but a little taller.

it's about 2" additional space you gain. Not to mention it looks a lot better.
