Can you imagine hitting a cow or kangaroo at 200?

We had a few places in the U.S. until the gas crunch of the 1970's changed it. There were not daytime speed limits in Montana and Nevada back then only night time. It sucked I only had a 71 Maverick 6 cylinder that would do 97 flat out. So I ran it 97 for a long ways coming out of Death Valley Headed to Los Angles. I pulled over and the oil had got so hot the white paint on the oil filter was scorched. So I slowed it down. I was crusing along about 80, and it is dirt road, and there was a dry creek and they do not put bridges over them. They just go down into the bed and back up on the other side and not too slowly either. So before I knew it was doing a Dukes of Hazard jump scared me to death but the car held together and eventually went I think 175,000 before parking it. It was fun the only thing is the animals and Montana had lots of them.

I think i need to beef up my Harley!!
Mexican Riding up there can be a bit of an ordeal.

Super High humidity, high temperatures and did I mention the oppressive humidity and massive rain, can take its toll on a rider.

June, July, August are your window if you are keen. Not to hot days 33-35c, no monsoon but there is a lot more traffic about July being the coolest driest month.

Avoid any type of night riding outside of the cities no street lighting and lots of wild life and in the dry they come right up to the road to eat the little bit of green that is right on the edge of the tar

If you ever do come down for a ride include some time to ride from Cairns to Port Douglas and at least a week in Tassie,Tasmania is the best riding in Australia nice twisty roads, scenic to boot and the whole place is bike friendly and full of tasty things to eat and drink.

Hope you make it mate you will have a blast
