Wouldn't that just tick you off if you paid that kind of money for a steering wheel and 1 year after installation, it cracks and separates at the 12 o'clock position like all of the rest of them!

 
He was at the Columbus Ford swap meet

I know a few guys were willing to go 2K on it

I know one was going to offer 2100.00

Yes, A very high price to pay. But, as stated earlier, concours restoration require new or in good condition parts. I will not mention the complete, no cracks, three spoke Mustang deluxe steering wheel that I found in a 1977 Ford Maverick, located in a parts year, perfect condition, for about $65.00. Yes, $65.00!! This was some 20 years ago though. I still have it and it is sitting on my 1971 sports roof steering column.
