Will a standard capacity oil pan work for a 351C that is going to be spun to 6500 once in a while. Street motor with occasional bursts to 6000+.? I plan on lifter bushings w/.060 holes, Tim Meyer cam bearings, no restrictors.

I say yes. If you are just hitting it for a very short bit. The worry with high rpm's is that you will pump the oil into the engine before it drains back. Worse case is you are spinning at 6500 and the main bearings don't get their oil. That's bad news.

If you are racing and keeping it at the high RPM's it's a different story but it also requires other mods.

That being said, a little higher capacity pan is cheap insurance for an engine that gets to spin 6500 every now and then. Certainly keep an eye on the oil level. ;)
