I've not see a special tool for them. I've only needed to use something to hold the back side of the pin, as Hemi said. The distance from the tip of pin to the groove the clip engages is relatively long and requires that little tab to open quite a bit. I'll be installing a set this weekend when I finish up the front end rebuild on mine.
