Paint scheme

While my car's paint is holding up reasonably well, there will come a point in a few years where I think it will be time to slick everything up and paint the car.

As I start to think about it, I want something different, but something that is undeniably "Mustang"

I have a Ginger interior and I think I will keep it that way. So that limits some paint colors I suppose.

I'm thinking of a Black car with Gold hood, roof and deck stripes, along with a single low stripe across the bottom like the GT 350 H stripe, though the stripe might read Mach 1 instead.

Sounds very much like the John Player Special color scheme. "(Please don't tell me I am crazy-my mother had me tested! )" You were tested but, you didn't mention the results. I just can't picture a black car with a brown interior but, to each his own.

Since you asked, I have had cars with the ginger interior. I actually really like it, but with the right exterior colour... Black exterior does not do it for me. I have had a yellow exterior, ok..., but not eye catching. I had a '73 gold glow with this interior and it is a very nice combination. The only other colour IMO for this interior is the dark forest green with silver accents. A complete package with the ginger interior...

I think the black will be OK with the tan interior. My wife's Lexus is black with a light tan interior and it looks nice.

I always liked a saddle colored interior with a black car-but I might put in black carpet and maybe a few other touches. Long term planning here, nothing is going to be decided overnight.

I have a ginger interior with black carpet, black carpet inserts on door panels, black long center console, black seat belts and black dash pad. I think the combo works nice.

I really like the exterior color combo in the rendering. I like your concept. Getting the top stripes right would be my challenge if I were doing it.
