Part Id help

Hello, we'll I've started cleaning out my 71 and we'll most of the missing exterior pieces are inside the car.. But alas I found two of these weird little boxes. Any help identifying them will be much appreciated. I just don't wanna junk something ill need... No part numbers on them anywhere

add on speed control box? see if the T/s handle has cruise on it.

Not that I can see... Or feel shifter doesn't have anything out of place.. time for a mustang mystery box in the storage shed :-D
