Problem with my C6

I took my 71 out for a drive Wednesday every thing was ok.When Got home and put it in reverse it did not wan't to back up but I got it back into the barn.This afternoon I crawled under to change the oil and found a huge puddle of transmission fluid.What do I need to be looking for.Any help is appreciated thanks.Bobby

where is it leaking, pan, front or rear seal, dip stick tube seal? I would clean it up and find out where. might be an easy fix

If I had to guess a massive spill probably means the pump seal blew out. No clue as to the difficulty level of disassembling and repairing one.

Pump seal is easy to replace... once the tranny is out and on the ground .

If it's the seal, look for a reason it went. Scored shaft, bad bushing/converter, etc. One normally leads to the other.

My advice would be to clean it up refill it and see where it is coming fron before doing anything drastic. Seen sitting for extended periods to strange things as far as leaks. Jusy my 2cents
