Well I finally got my engine block back. Our first race was a week ago and I had to race my truck because my stang wasn't ready. I took it to one of the guys down the block from my shop back in October. Paid him $1600 dollars for the machine work. Little did I know he sent it to Rockford. They were supposed to hot tank it, new cam bearings, polish the crank and balance everything, and put new freeze plugs in. They "balanced the rotating assembly" but never checked out the bores first. As I said I got the block back finally and nothing was done to it. To add insult to injury I asked for my money back and was told that the guy up in Rockford is in the hospital and I have to wait for the cash.

On the bright side I took the engine to an engine builder who used to race top fuel to have everything done. He said I will have it before our next race on the weekend of the fourth.

Thanks for letting rant a little bit. Just frustrated.

Sucks to hear. Also sucks that they weren't up front with you, then they are shining you on about getting your money back? That's not right.

I agree that sucks. I have dealt with a few companies during this build who promise the world and delivered nothing but a pita. The best out of all the ones I personally have dealt with and this is as far as new and used parts, and always did exactly what he said he would and sometimes extra, was Don at Ohio Mustang. But having a Uncle who owns a garage has been a life saver, so not had to deal with that end of things.
