More console work, fresh paint, it’s going to sit next to blue and white seats, and white side panels…colors are looking good together!View attachment 62620
It’s not horribly difficult… paint from NPD(expensive) 1 can for console.
Hello @RIBS trying to get some information on the blue paint you used for your beautiful '72 Sprint console restoration. Is this link to NPD the correct blue for a 1972 Sprint soft interior parts? Specifically, is this the correct blue color match for a Sprint blue Rim Blow Wheel pad? If not, will you point me in the right direction??

Thanks in advance for any help you can send my way.

I am out of town at the moment. I will check my paint codes in a few days. I am 99% certain the medium blue metallic SEM paint is what I bought. I’m have no idea about what the steering wheel needs or how durable it would be. Make sure you buy the right version. There is one for soft flexible plastics and another for hard surfaces.

Thanks sir, will do.

I've used the NPD/SEM Medium Blue recently and it's an excellent match. Another option is if you have a local auto paint store that sells the SEM ColorCoat line, you can have them mix it for you. I bought a quart of the Medium Blue when I did the interior parts of my 71 back in '06.

One thing to be aware of is the specific prep products they call for when spraying interior parts. They're shown on the TDS. I made sure to follow their instructions to the letter and have had no issues with chipping or peeling. I did not have any vinyl parts that needed to be sprayed, mine were all plastic and metal.
