1973 Mustang Grande 351C 2V, built on the very last production day (July 6, 1973) for Grande's.
Hi,

The other day I noticed that the part in the red circle below was rotating in an excentric manner, i.o.w: it was shaking about a bit. Not loose but steady.

In this blogpost I also uploaded a small video but I couldn't get it very clear:

Is this something that I should be worried about?

Thanks,

Vincent.

If there is no vibration and the engine is running smoothly, it seems ok.. I would go a step further and visually inspect the vibration damper rubber insides for deterioration and cracks. Replace it if there are signs of this..

You never know who did what to the engine in the last 40+ years. I've seen some mechanics jack the engine up by the vibration damper to gain access to the oil pan and motor mounts, not knowing the damage they've done.
