This info would be great. I still don't know if the repo wheels will fit the trims etc. No-one seems to make repo 15" beauty trims.

That has been a problem of mine for a while. I even bought original vintage Mopar trim rings in 15 inch that are supposed to fit magnum 500s but they don't.

I could measure my original 15 inch magnums if that helps but I don't have any steel rims.

Not that it necessarily applies to the 15" Mustang rims, but I have had success in shoving original (not sure about the repop) GM Rally-wheel trim rings onto late-1970's Ford 15x7" steel rims.

Mind you, the late-1970's rims (OEM 1978 Lincoln) that I tried them on were stamped for much larger dog dish center caps than the Mustang.

Years ago a friend that was running stock Ford 15 steel wheels and rings (originally off Boss 302) on his 67 Galaxie. He mentioned he ran late 70's/early 80's GM pickup trim rings and they looked close. I think the valve stem hole was round and the correct Ford ones are oval. Man it is late so I hope I don't have that backwards - someone look at their originals a let us know. THX!

Bringing this one back to the top....

I would also like to know the offset of the 14x7 and 15x7 OEM steel wheels. I have given up on finding an affordable set of 15x7's and would like to order some aftermarket ones to replicate the look...

I'll paste a previous post from a good friend of mine:

I am very biased on this subject, Magnum 500s look the best. These will fit front and rear, http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WVI-54-5712044/ As far as I know a 245x60x15, on a 15x7 rim with 4.25 inch back spacing, is the largest 15 inch tire that will clear in the front. A 275x60x15 will clear in the rear using a 15x8 rim with a 4.5-4.75 back spacing. All 4 rims and tires being the same size will permit tire rotation. Chuck
I have driven this car. It is a GREAT setup, especially if you are looking to stay close to stock but with a slightly larger tire on the back.
