Supressor vs Resistor plugs?

What is the difference or purpose of resistor or supressor plugs. I was looking for NOS plugs for my 351c 4v and just not sure which is best. Thanks

A suppressor sparkplug has a small coil of wire that restricts high frequency AC current as the spark jumps the plug gap. It doesn't affect DC current. A resistor plug restricts both AC and DC current and weakens the spark energy.

Aren't both used for noise supression? I do believe resistor plugs and supression wires are necessary with electronic ignitions.
