Tire Size and Brand on my 73 Vert

Ok guys so I just bought this 1 owner 73 vert. The tires are bad and I need to change them, they are BF Goodrich Silvertown Belted E78-14, are they the original ones?

I asked around and they dont make those any more, could someone recommend same size tires and brand so my hubcaps can fit perfect and was it black or white sidewall on it. The marti says E78X14 Belted Black Sidewall Tires.

Save the tires for the concours-correct person who wants them. Original tires from that period are few and far between, believe me!

I will save them for sure, can someone help me in determining which tire brand would fit and it has to be 14 so hub cap can fit, the closest to factory

E78-14 translates to a 205/70-14, or a 235/60-14 if you want a wider tire.

Yes they will fit. If I were you I would get another set of wheels and tires, and keep those exactly as they are. You can put them on for shows after you get there. A car that original I would keep there as much as possible but there are obviously things you have to change if you want to drive it.
